Most of us would not buy a car without taking it for a test drive. One of the purposes of driving before buying is to get a feel for the vehicle and to see if it fits you. It would be a huge risk to make such a large purchase without knowing how it runs, if you will be comfortable in it and so on.
Unfortunately, most of us don't have a way to test run government health care. That is unless you have had the pleasure of having been treated in a VA hospital or had to wait for Medicare to determine if it is going to pay for the medicine you need.
